Manhood is part of the exclusive collaboration between Akamai and Hello Poster — the Akamai Poster Edition. The work revisits one of Akamai’s more distinctive compositions, created within the same playful and character-driven universe as the well-known Aimeli.

The composition portrays a male figure dressed in black striped clothing, positioned against an intense pink backdrop. The contrast between the dark tones and the saturated colour field creates a striking visual tension. Beside the figure stands a single flower in a glass vase — a quiet element that introduces a sense of balance and subtle vulnerability.

Humour and seriousness coexist within the composition, held together by a precise and controlled aesthetic language. The result is a work that both challenges and invites reflection.

In 50×70 cm, Manhood holds a confident presence within a space. Framed in black, the graphic contrast becomes more pronounced. In oak or lighter frames, the warmth of the palette is gently softened.
